Impakspreker besoek HSDA

Die afgelope week was Hoërskool De Aar bevoorreg om die Evangelis en Motiveringspreker Johnny Louw te kon verwelkom.

Hy bedien landswyd en het veral ‘n passie vir kinders. Johnny het die Karoohitte trotseer en kom belê in die toekoms van ons jeug.

Behalwe vir die sessies met die leerders, het hy ook met van die sportspanne gesels en ‘n geslaagde oueraand aangebied.

Aan die ouers het hy die belangrikheid van jou voorbeeld beklemtoon. Verder het hy soos die behoefte was, ook individueel met leerders gesels.

Sy lesse is outentiek en eg vanuit sy eie foute. Sy boodskap is prakties en duidelik: Gaan terug na die basiese, outydse waarhede, soos liefde, eerlikheid, deursigtigheid en respek.

You've got one moment in time.... You were born in NC, for a reason and a time like this.

‘Life is rof!!’ Life happens – we cannot stop life from happening. BUT, you always have a choice. Choose right!!

Hy het leerders uitgenooi na ‘n verhouding met God. Hyself is lief vir die Here en Hy het dit benadruk dat God lief is vir jou.

“And that makes all the difference! You are here to make a difference. Be the change you want to see.

You are the next generation who must make a difference. Life is a vape... You think you have time, but life happens.... No money, strength, muscles, rugby, no influential parents, no one can make that choice for you.

You must choose to be different and you must choose right.”

Furthermore, life is unfair. Good people get hurt. Life measures you and takes from you... Heart break, mockery, set-backs, disappointment, divorce of parents, poverty etc... Life pours you out.... Life drains you.

You are the future of tomorrow! Go share the love inside of you, the truth inside of you, go change the world. Truths like, love, respect, faith etc... These make the difference. You are the hope of DE AAR!

Help. Serve. Forgive. Love. Be yourself. Carry the truth out. Life is a sum of choices. Your biggest enemy is you yourself with wrong choices. Your mind...

Kies om te kies. Kies vir ‘n toekoms. Bou daaraan. We make stupid decisions and then we miss out. But you can rectify your decisions, and choose better! He himself is a testimony of that.

He encouraged learners to be filled with substance. Filled balloons will not explode. The substance of life is in Love. The world doesn't know love. They don't understand it.

Love will sustain you and fill you. Another substance to fill yourself with is, honesty. Rather hurt me honestly than break me deceitfully. Live a life of honesty.

Take ownership for your thoughts, words and actions. A river can only be a river within its banks... Outside of its banks, then water lies stagnant and dries up.

Have a Source. Stay within your boundaries, or river banks.

The second session he spoke to the learners about being ‘Value adders’ or ‘Subtracters’

In your house, team, building, class.... Do you add value or do you take whatever you can and subtract value.

Do you add to others’ lives or are you selfishly taking whatever you can lay your hands on. It takes courage and bravery to have a ‘Adding’ mindset. Overcome yourself and your mind.

Become that person. Add love, respect, honesty and kindness wherever you go. Don’t take and waste time, friendships or your potential. ADD to life.

Add value to relationships, to your house, your team, your future!

Elk leerder kon met iets waardevols in sy hart huis toe gaan en die leerders is dankbaar vir die geleentheid wat die skool bied, om sulke sprekers te nooi.

Johnny het De Aar kom dien en ewigheidswaarde kom toevoeg in ons jeug se lewens. Ons is dankbaar vir die CSV en SBL wie sulke geleenthede moontlik maak.

Opregte dank aan anonieme borge regoor SA, wie finansieel belê in die CSV van Hoërskool De Aar. Die CSV voed liggaam, siel en gees. Ons sou nie so aktiewe rol kon speel in ons skool, sonder u ondersteuning nie.
