De Aar High School Shines with Grit at Betway SA20 Provincial Cricket Competition

De Aar High School proudly represented their region at the Betway SA20 Provincial Cricket Competition held in Kimberley this past weekend.

Facing some of the toughest opposition in the Northern Cape, the boys showed tremendous spirit, grit, and determination throughout the tournament.

In their first match, De Aar took on the No. 1 ranked school in the province, Kalahari High.

Despite the strength of their opponents, De Aar’s bowlers and fielders displayed excellent teamwork and discipline, making Kalahari fight for every run.

Their second fixture saw them face CBC Kimberley, currently ranked third in the Northern Cape.

Once again, De Aar showed resilience and passion - putting up a strong fight and never giving up until the final ball.

The experience gained against top-ranked schools will no doubt serve as valuable preparation for future competitions.

The team displayed sportsmanship, unity, and unwavering team spirit — qualities that made De Aar High stand tall among the province’s cricketing elite.
